Climate change is becoming a big issue to the islands of the Seychelles. Our pictures show that sea level rise contributes to soil erosion across the shoreline.

Erosion will impact on vegetation, settlements and other developments along the coast. Moreover, this has a negative impact on our tourism industry.

Thorough research needs to be done to cope with the negative effects of climate change towards our islands, especially the coral islands which are more at risk to be submerged under the ocean.
