Fish Factory

This picture is taken in Uummannaq’s ?sh factory. People are working with the halibut. The factory is very important for our town, because it gives work for many people. It is the only factory here.
 

This picture is taken in Uummannaq’s fish factory. People are working with the halibut. The factory is very important for our town, because it gives work for many people. It is the only factory here.

The fishermen can sell their fish to the factory and people can work in the factory. There is work for men and women. In the summer holidays a lot of students work in the factory.

They have to be 15 or older. In the factory the workers treat the fish and the different parts are sent to different countries, for example Japan and Europe. If it gets warmer, it could be that the halibut disappears. So all the
fishermen and the workers in the factory would lose their jobs.
